A bed bug infestation can be very complex and often comes with many questions. At M.D. Pest Control we have found that a visual inspection of your home will help to determine the level of infestation as well as help determine the treatment area. During this time homeowners are provided the time to ask questions which they may have. The technician will also be able to help guide you through the preparation requirements prior to your treatment. Carpenter Ants

Treatment for Carpenter Ants will require an interior and exterior residual spray treatment as well as a void injection inside wall cavities. This is done with a machine called an actisol which creates a fine aerosol which is injected under baseboards and around window trim to kill ants nesting inside your home (there is no need to drill holes into walls). This treatment will require all occupants and pets to vacate the residence for a minimum of 6 hours. Pregnant women, children under the age of 2 and any individual with asthma are recommended to vacate for 24 hours.

Option 1 Spray – Cockroaches exterminated within days!!
The technician will apply a residual spray treatment to kitchen and washrooms. All kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities must be empty prior to the technicians arrival. This treatment will require all occupants and pets to vacate the residence for a minimum of 4 hours. Pregnant women, children under the age of 2 and any individual with asthma are recommended to vacate for 24 hours. Complete control is achieved quickly.

Option 2 Bait – Safe, convenient cockroach control extermination in 4 to 6 weeks!
The technician will apply Maxforce gel bait to kitchen, washrooms and laundry room. The bait treatment is very safe and convenient. There is no preparation required and no need to vacate the treatment area. Complete extermination is expected in 4 to 6 weeks.

Earwigs

To control earwigs we perform an exterior insecticide treatment. Exterior treatments will control insects around the exterior of home for 4-6 weeks. No interior application required for the control earwigs. People and pets should avoid treated surfaces until they are dry.

Fleas

Flea treatments consist of a three step process. First all pets should be given a flea bath by a veterinarian or a professional groomer, once treated these pets should not re-enter the infested area until the following steps are completed. Second thorough vacuuming of all carpets should be performed, the vacuum bag should be discarded and the vacuum left out for treatment. Finally a pesticide application will be required to kill all existing fleas. M.D. Pest Control will also apply an Insect Growth regulator, which will inhibit the development of new fleas. It will be required for all people and pets to remain out of treated areas for a minimum of 4 hours. M.D. Pest Control recommends that people with asthma, heart conditions, women who are pregnant and children under the age of 2 years remain out of treated areas for 24 hours.

Mice

The technician will eliminate mice inside your home by applying apply bait to areas mice frequent. The bait is a solid piece of bait placed inside bait stations designed for safety. These bait stations lock closed to prevent access from children and pets, mice enter through a small hole… eat… and are free to leave the bait station. Typically control is achieved in 4 to 7 days with no foul odour or fly issues. At M.D Pest Control we know that the best way to solve a mouse infestation is to never have one in the first place. We perform an exterior inspection to identify mice entry points and provide sealing and exclusion where possible. Long-term control is achieved by keeping mice out of your home. Potential entry holes beyond our ability to repair (structural issues, garage roll-up doors) will be brought to your attention for repair.
